Welcome to VoltCalc — a free online service for estimated electricity-related calculations. These Terms set out the general rules for using the website. We recommend that you read them before using the service. By continuing to use the website, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms.
2. Purpose of the Service
VoltCalc provides online calculators for estimating:
- electricity consumption costs;
- backup runtime of UPS systems and batteries;
- battery charging time;
- electrical power, voltage, and current.
3. Accuracy of Calculations and Information
All VoltCalc calculators and informational materials are intended solely for reference and estimated calculations. Results may differ from actual values due to equipment characteristics, operating conditions, battery specifications, energy losses, input accuracy, and other factors.
The website owner does not guarantee the absolute accuracy, completeness, or currency of calculation results. Calculator results do not constitute a professional technical assessment, engineering documentation, or a guarantee of actual equipment performance.
Users are responsible for independently checking the accuracy of the data they enter and the results they receive before using them in practice.
4. Electrical and Fire Safety
VoltCalc calculation results are not instructions for installing, connecting, repairing, or operating electrical equipment. They do not replace manufacturers' instructions, technical documentation, or advice from qualified professionals.
Before connecting or using equipment, users must independently verify the permitted voltage, current, power, polarity, device compatibility, and other technical specifications.
Calculator results must not be used as the sole basis for carrying out work that may create a risk of electric shock, fire, property damage, or harm to health. Where necessary, users should consult a qualified electrician or another appropriate professional.
5. User Responsibilities
Users independently decide whether to use calculation results and are responsible for their own actions, the accuracy of entered data, equipment selection, compatibility checks, and compliance with safety rules.
Users must take into account the technical documentation provided by equipment manufacturers and must not use estimated calculation results as a substitute for necessary professional checks.
6. Limitation of the Website Owner's Liability
VoltCalc is provided free of charge on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The website owner strives to ensure the proper operation of the service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, the absence of technical errors, or full compatibility with all devices and browsers.
To the extent permitted by the applicable laws of Ukraine, the website owner is not liable for consequences arising from user decisions made solely on the basis of estimated calculator results without appropriate additional verification.
The website owner is also not responsible for interruptions in third-party services, user equipment, Internet connections, or other circumstances beyond the owner's control, except where such liability is required by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits users' rights or the website owner's liability in cases where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by the laws of Ukraine.
7. Intellectual Property
The design, original texts, graphic materials, structure, and source code of VoltCalc are protected under Ukrainian intellectual property law. The use, copying, or distribution of these materials without the rights holder's permission is not permitted, except where expressly allowed by law. Rights to third-party materials belong to their respective rights holders.
8. Changes to These Terms
The website owner may periodically update these Terms of Use due to changes in VoltCalc functionality, legislation, or the operation of the service. The new version takes effect when it is published on this page, unless otherwise stated in the updated version. The last updated date is shown at the beginning of this document. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
